Monogatari: Tales of Powell Street 1920-1941

One of the oldest neighbourhoods in Vancouver, Powell Street was founded by Japanese labour contractors in the sawmill industry. More than 30,000 Japanese immigrants passed through Powell Street between the 1890s and 1940s.
